英国カーディフ大学からの留学生が研修にきてくれました

イギリスウェールズにあるカーディフ大学は以前から三重大学と双方の交換留学生連携を行っています。今年はじめて、漢方医学センターにも留学生の方が2名、2週間の研修を希望されました。実際の漢方服用、鍼灸の体験もしていただき、日本の伝統医学のホリスティックな考え方に大きな関心を持って帰国されました。同時期に三重大の研修医が希望研修で1か月きているところでしたので、お互いに刺激になったと思います。このような世界の若い世代に、漢方医学の実際を見て頂ける機会は非常に貴重で重要です。今後もぜひ協力していきたいと思います。

Cardiff University in Wales, UK, has long had a partnership with Mie University for exchange students. This year, for the first time, two international students applied for a two-week internship at the Center for Kampo Medicine. They experienced actual herbal medicine and acupuncture, and returned home with a great interest in the holistic approach of traditional Japanese medicine. At the same time, resident physicians from Mie University was also there for a month as part of their optional internship, so we think it was a stimulating experience for both sides. Opportunities like this to show young people from around the world the practical aspects of traditional Japanese medicine are extremely valuable and important. We would like to continue our cooperation in the future.
