(Family Medicine Program) Person in charge: Yousuke Takemura

Family physicians provide medical care which people in community need. The medical care involves all from infants to elderly, man and woman, and any organs. They can provide the care anywhere at outpatient clinics, wards, emergency rooms, and home. When advanced medical care is needed, they can refer to specialty doctors. In addition, when more people are needed to help home medicine, they can communicate with not only specialty doctors but also interprofessional healthcare workers. They can consider the appropriate medical care for the community together with the people and can establish a system to provide the medical care. They definitely provide medical care which reflects the smiles of patients. They think the feelings of patients and their mental and social background important as well as excellent diagnoses and the treatment skills.

We established the educational and training system for 4-year secondary training program spending long time, huge investments of human and economic. We have confidence to make you excellent family physicians. We are sure that you will be satisfied with the student-centered training. Now, let’s start the training at Mie University Family Medicine Program. Let’s work hard and provide the best care for the people in community where you will spend your life in the future.
